Catching up with Bob's NA8C

It's been a while since we last looked at Bob's Miata. Since then, we've gone through two engine changes, from ITB to turbo, and in the future, back to non turbo.

Of course, there have been some good things happening besides the engine losses. In recent years, Bob has been looking for a more classic roadster look. You could say the machine used to be quite "hotboi."


Right now, it's sitting pretty sadly in the corner of the shed. The engine is on its way to Hummelink Modifications for a complete overhaul. During the last weekender, it blew.

Despite being in the corner, things are happening. For example, the subframe (front and rear) has been removed from under the car to be blasted, powdercoated, and fitted with new poly bushings.


Then the brakes will be completely overhauled. Although they'll retain the NA8C format, they'll be a bit "sportier" than the previous versions.


In addition, Bob has been restoring his Trial type S front bumper. And scooped up a Thrash Racing steering wheel!

Besides that, Bob sold his CST Demon Cambers to Lucas!

Who is making them fit with Car Make Corns fenders, Exciting!


The plan for Bob's wheels is a more classic (less chrome) and narrower wheel, so the car gets a bit less stance and a bit more function!
